Sometimes I deliberately over extract my espresso because I like the slightly burned taste it makes. #CaffeineClub
@mcfate I usually make Americano but then electric kettles are somewhat more effective on a 240v system so boiling water is less hassle.
I used to make pseudo-Americanos back when I was using the Aeropress, now I just keep pushing water through the puck until the level in my cup is correct.
I bought these mugs both because I like them aesthetically and because the line between the silicone and the porcelain is exactly where the coffee needs to get to.

I actually almost never make proper espresso in my Breville, all I make is cafรฉ allongรฉ.
