@evistre we have many cudly toys, Richard (brown) has been a life long companion of mine, I will assemble them over the weekend and share it in due course.

@Mauve_matelot @stueytheround

fabulous!! i have a bunch, too, including a couple lifelong friends :)

@evistre so here is our tribe of cudly toys from Left to Right; Richard, Winnie the Pooh, Stueybear, Eyeore, Borage, Tigger and Bruce.
So Richard is my first Teddy, he arrived in the same month of my birth, he has had lots of adventures and is a good listener.
Winnie the Pooh has a voice box and says several phrases, sometimes we forget about the batteries that are inside and then jump when something comes forth.
@stueytheround

@Mauve_matelot @stueytheround too sweet! Thank you for sharing :)

I have a bunch also, here are my two favorites from childhood- Teddy, who I got the first time I got sick as an infant, has a rattle in his paw. Emmanuel on the right I was given while in hospital as a kid.

I took Teddy to the hospital with me, too- demanded he be brought into surgery with me. When I woke up, I saw the staff had fitted him with a little mask and gown, and an IV (no needle, empty bag) to match mine. πŸ’ž So sweet.

@evistre i think its great when medical staff show TLC to an cudly toy
@stueytheround

@evistre stueybear (SB) was created by @stueytheround in our early days together, SB has been on all my detached Royal Navy and Red Cross duties since then.

Eyeore arrived last year and there were times in Lockdown 1 that he was the perfect companion.
Borage is a Purple Elephant with a pouch that used to contain a wheatbag, which is now AWOL, the pouch is the right size to fit a hand warmer in so i can warm up the lower part of the bed without lose of the hand warmer in all the layers.

@Mauve_matelot @stueytheround

so sweet!!!

ooh, borage is a good idea - i usually just use hot water bottles :)

@evistre hot water bottle was lost in the flood, this is the next best thing and rather effective

@evistre

Tigger is our second senior cudly, he is a replacement from @stueytheround, who found a huge Tigger on Honeymoon which we couldn't transport back to Plymouth. So Stuey bought this one a short time later and Tigger has been part of our family ever since.

Bruce is a very special character, he was made by a firm called Loveheart Bears UK and each jumper could carry a personal message for the recipient. I had used the firm during OP Veritas after the twin towers came down for my family

@evistre

I wanted @stueytheround to have a bear similar to the ones I had sent to my Sister and Granny. Bruce was the result

@evistre blue jumper went to my Granny, Green jumper to my sister, the very senior bear on the left is my Mum's bear, I can't remember their name
