but why do people have to bring up a person's race when giving said person credit for something
you wouldn't say "white" if it that person was when giving that person credit for the same thing
use the person's NAME
NOT their race

Thinking out loud:
It's a bit similar to the difference between BLM and ALM.
White men have always been given credit over PoC and women to the point (for instance) of taking credit for scientific discoveries made being whitemanwashed (DNA is a classic example) so perhaps it is more important to acknowledge race than we think?
Whites, being the majority in most Western cultures perhaps don't need the same acknowledgement of race, but we usually talk about their country of origin.
