The good news: I have an appointment with my dentist tomorrow to look at my tooth. (This is assuming that the road ice has melted enough for me and the dentist to get to his office.)

The bad news: This is just an exam. At minimum I'll require a full crown, and depending on what the exam reveals, I may also require a root canal. Each of those procedures is multi-hour in the chair and will have to be scheduled later when the dentist(s) can fit me into his/their schedules.
