I had a medical procedure done last week and the man in the room next to me was apparently in for a colonoscopy. He was obsessing that the clarity of his poop was inadequate to go ahead with it, but the nurse kept insisting it was probably okay. After some back and forth, it turned out he was worried the anesthesia would kill him ("What if I go to sleep and don't wake up?"). I couldn't be a nurse for any amount of money. God bless 'em.
