I understand the desire to know ASAP. Believe me, I do. Y'all might not remember, but I fell down QUITE the home in 2016 and it fucked me up pretty bad.

When push comes to shove, tomorrow morning is gonna be the same whether you find out what happened tonight or... tomorrow morning.

If knowing will help you sleep better, check before bed.

Watching talking heads jibber jabber about how much they don't know for 12 hours isn't gonna change anything.

Slowly, slowly breathe in through your nose.

Hold it for three Mississippi's.

Then purse your lips and let go of the tension in your diaphragm, using the restriction of your lips to control the airflow and keep it nice and slow. Don't use your chest. Let physics do the work.

Repeat.

Repeat. Relax your neck and shoulders.

Repeat. Relax your chest and back.

Repeat. Relax your hips and glutes.

Repeat. Relax your limbs and hands/feet.

Repeat.

For what it's worth, that might not be the best idea.

Setting aside the whole "don't fall down the bottle" thing...

Alcohol suppresses inhibitions. If you go into a buzz in a stressed out, anxious, fearful state of mind, you might just end up suppressing the very same inhibitions that are keeping you from flying apart at the seams.

Y'all know your bodies and minds better than I do. Just... Be careful.
