@smittycanada1 It sounds like a major ice storm, like the 1998 one here. 😕 Everybody should get prepared--stock up on emergency supplies & stuff you can eat without cooking. If you have gas fireplaces the blower won't work but it'll still throw off heat. Resist the urge to go out and look at the ice--hydro poles can snap under the weight (likewise heavy branches). Be prepared for scenes like this...

~STAY INSIDE (if u get hurt, getting to the hospital will be tricky)
~If you have large trees on your property avoid rooms close to them.
~If you have a gas fireplace (esp in a basement) grab some games & huddle around it.
~Even hanging out in a blanket fort will keep you warm.
~DON'T use crazy heat sources (carbon monoxide poisoning). Wear your warmest clothes & hang out in a small interior room if you have no heat.
~Sleep. It passes time.
