At 1:40 today PDT Felix crossed over the rainbow bridge. He had an incurable tumor and I could see him pleading with me to help him. He is the last of the pets my late wife Diane and I adopted and at 17 years old has had a good life. Last week I dug a grave for him in his raspberry patch and today I placed him there

@NorthernInvader Yes. For me, I beat myself up horribly second guessing every time. Did I do the right thing, maybe I should have waited, did I betray their trust and on and on. Even though I know I did the kind thing, it is so, so painful. Be kind to yourself. 😢

@smittycanada1 ya that's it exactly - but he couldn't eat anymore, wasn't comfortable laying on my lap, and kept looking at me in a sad way as if asking me to help him.
