I'm new. I see there's a column for notifications, and one for "friends", but what is Community Firehose? Is that a group? Or, is that everything? Can you edit posts after you've posted?
@softwaremerc @skiphunt
That's how I felt on my first day on Twitter when all that stuff came at me when I used to just go on individual accounts and read stuff before I registered. This will help to find new peeps.
@catfoodcasserole @skiphunt Yes, exactly like that! Lol.
@skiphunt The firehose is every post. Yes you can delete and repost.
@SaltyVeruca What's the difference between just deleting a post and posting again vs delete and redraft?
@skiphunt There's a super helpful user guide. counter.social/userguide.pdf
@skiphunt delete and repost is the edit.
@skiphunt
Welcome, here's the user guide which can help too.

@Anemone thanks!
@skiphunt It's the community column where everything is posted. I've heard you can edit and delete posted from your phone app.
@skiphunt
The firehose is all posts, incoming. Many of us unpin it, as it can be overwhelming.
But read the user guide first, which will answer a bunch of questions. Then, ask the community if you’re still not sure. Play around. You won’t break anything.
Yes, you can edit. Click on the post you want to edit, then the three little dots on the bottom, choose delete/redraft. Make your edits, repost. Easy peasy.
@NanaWithSoul @skiphunt
The delete and repost is convenient so you don't have to re-upload images, etc.
NB: All boosts/likes/replies become severed from the original post when it's edited.
You want that, so you aren't liking something and then having it change to something you don't like.
@EileenKCarpenter oh, that makes sense. cool!
@skiphunt CF is EVERYTHING. It’s a little scary at first but once you get used to it, it’s great.
