If your #Instagram account gets hacked, chances are you're hosed.
Meta will not help you.
@bloodravenlib <Nods> I've heard that too. Knowing what I know now I wouldn't invest a dime in using Instagram for business.
@sjvn I have an account, in part because as librarian I often have to look over social media, so I try things out. However, I don't really use it (and if some hacker wants to take it, have it , no loss kind of thing). Still, it is discouraging that the company DGAF.
@sjvn Instagram is also notorious for not doing anything if your account gets impersonated by someone else. In the divination community, as an example, complaints of folks who do services and have an account that there is some impostor scamming under their names gets nothing from Instagram/Meta.
