New tech promises faster Internet connection no matter where you live hpe.com/us/en/insights/article by @sjvn

Can't get broadband where you live? Low-band 5G; Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite Internet; DOCSIS 3.1, and G.fast may be able to help you.

@sjvn

This is interesting as there are people who live where it is cost-prohibitive to roll out FTTH or maintain a copper telephony infrastructure.

Any solutions that are able to provide decent latency (under 35ms) and decent bandwidth (around 100Mbit) is worth exploring in order to facilitate rolling out broadband to as many as possible.

Thanks for posting.

@stark <Nods> Some of my friends and family live where they'll never fast Internet without low-band 5G or LEO.

I'd like to live that far out in the sticks, but kids in school makes that hard right now. Maybe when they fly the nest.
