The company that I work for decided to lay off 12 of its staff in the USA offices, myself included. I am the only person in the world qualified to do my job, so it is a highly questionable decision. They stated that the decision was due to losses over the last quarter. This is after downsizing to the point that only one person works in any given department. This is why I was the only person qualified to maintain the product that I maintain. No consideration for the damage they cause at all.
