Smitty's been missing for over 1/2 an hour. 😢
I got home later than I meant to & when I got in my patio I could hear him whining through the window. I forgot to latch the gate closed & when I opened the door, the brat scurried out. I didn't expect either of them to because I knew they'd be hungry & they usually wait inside...yowling at me.
The few times that he has wandered off, he always comes back within 10-15 minutes.
I tried wandering around looking but my body keeps crapping out on me.

His collar has a bell and he talks a lot which makes it easy for me to hear him but it's completely quiet out.
I finally got him microchipped last month...I just want him to come home. damnit. 😟

Fuck. He's been gone over an hour now.
I don't know what to do. I've gone out 4x's now but my hips and knees are hurting so much tonight and they're causing me to be unbalanced. Plus it's dark out.
Fuck. I'm scared.

Maybe I'll drive around , real slowly calling out his name. He's such a squirrely bugger and loves to bolt whenever I try to pick him up and so I know that even if I do see/hear him while out driving, the chances of him letting me pick him up to get him in the car is slim.

I gave in and called Brother1 and he's coming over to help me look for Smits.
I fucking hate being disabled and incapable of looking for my own cat. It's just not fair. 😞

Do you have a Facebook page for your area? If you're not on fb, ask someone to post in it with a picture and your number. If they can't grab smitty, at least you'll know the general area where he was last seen. It can help narrow down the searching.

Still sending hope ❤️

Thank you. I completely forgot about that and I'm on NextDoor as well. 💗

I hope he gets home safely and soon! Post to Petboost as well, and look in their "found" listings. They'll post it to Facebook as well as to their email blasts that are regional (based on zip codes). I check each email. We have a lot of well-fed loose cats around here. I don't look at them too hard unless they appear to be in need, or I see a missing post on Pawboost or local flyers. I got a dog back to its people using flyers.

It doesn’t help that he’s white and black. But his collar is glow in the dark and there’s a bell.
I just don’t know if I should post now or wait until early morning when the sun comes up, if he’s not home.
