I don’t understand these. Is a bicyclist supposed to ride between the two rows of posts or on the right green lane? I wouldn’t want to try to ride between because it seems too narrow. @spacesloth, do you know if this neighborhood has become so congested that the roads need these? I know it’s been a long time since I lived there but even the Google Map photos show it looking pretty much the same as 20 yrs ago.

The roads in those neighborhoods aren’t wide, with 7th Ave being only a two-lane road. I
Can’t figure out where on 7th the photo in the article is from.
@see_the_sus @spacesloth I'm going to guess that the roundabouts they are talking about are going to replace the crossover intersections connecting west- and east-bound 7th.
@see_the_sus @spacesloth or not lol It's after midnight, my brain has already retired for the night.
That's the area I was looking at but I was on my phone last night and didn't want to get up to walk into my office and get on the 'puter to pull up the different layers. ...all of 40-50ft away. LOL
@see_the_sus @spacesloth Oh, I was incorrect - that's *not* a roundabout, that's where 7th splits.
Here's the Maps link, you'll need to turn the satellite layer on and get down to ground level to see it. The same house is in the background. News photo is looking SE. Maps does NOT have the bike path indicated.
It looks like the path was put in after the Maps car went thru, and the right turn traffic lane is now pushed out into the intersection.
