Local fav Tia Betty Blues! I got the breakfast enchiladas and decided to go Christmas, instead of my normal green chili only. The red is kicking my butt! 🔥😋
This was only the second time I’d been there and I figured since it’s close to the VA and we were on a tight schedule, that this would be a good spot. Thankfully, we got there just before the lunch rush or we’d have gone to Starbucks up the street.
@see_the_sus def requires timing!
A quirky thing about my family is that darn near every time we go out to eat & the place isn't too busy, as soon as we get there lots more folks arrive after us. 😆
@see_the_sus Right across.from there is the best barbacoa in town IMO. Barbacoa El Primo!
Oh, ya know I've always wondered about that place. My bestie lives in that neighborhood and I drive by there a lot (between going to her place & taking my mom to the VA). I asked my friend once about it but neither she nor her husband have ever gone, despite living in the area for over 15 years.
@see_the_sus they used to be down south of Highland. The place they are now used to be a Blake's. But the are my fav barbacoa in the state. That is saying a lot.
Thanks for the recommendation!
@see_the_sus Looks delicious!
I’m normally not a red chili fan but this was very good. Not overly smoky-burnt like some places make theirs. I should have had some Gas-X with me though! 😆
@see_the_sus so freaking good!
