Looking forward to Republicans repeatedly reiterating how civil cases are different from criminal cases this week.

Normally I don't like living through interesting, historical times and would rather live through boring times, but today is fun.

I had a dream last night that – time travel body swap movie style – I was whisked back in time to junior high. I have to give my subconscious props for the added realism of me trying to habitually check my cell phone every three minutes and every three minutes realizing my pocket was empty because cell phones weren't a thing yet.

This whole failure to elect a Speaker of the House is really a plot by the Daylight Savings Time cabal to forestall any change and keep us forever switching our clocks every six months

That's ten. Does that mean he gets a free sandwich?

Made it to Christmas this year without hearing McCartney's "Wonderful Christmastime" or _any_ Manheim Steamroller. Perhaps a first. I win!

I did hear "All I Want for Christmas Is You" and "Last Christmas" oodles and boodles, but they don't give me the same get-it-off-me-get-it-off-me-get-it-off-me-get-it-off-me-there's-a-music-wasp-on-my-sleeve reaction that happens for many others, possibly because they weren't oversaturated in my childhood Decembers as much as McCartney and Manheim were.

Phone notified me I may have had exposure to Covid-19 December 15–16. One of those days I was in two airports, an airport shuttle for an hour, and a plane for three hours. Masking seemed to be about 5% in all those spaces, so, duh, of course I was exposed to it.

First they tell me there’s a life vest under my seat, then they yell at me for using it as a neck pillow during the flight. Whatever!

While looking up rules for traveling with prescription medication, I found a site that I suspect was written by a clumsy AI, or perhaps someone drinking their way through a breakup.

Stepping outside of that bubble and experiencing that free speech he pretends to promote.

Somehow, without even trying, I managed to completely avoid Santacon this year :)

'These companies somehow had their signing keys leaked to outsiders, and now you can't trust that apps that claim to be from these companies are really from them. To make matters worse, the "platform certificate keys" that they lost have some serious permissions.'

I asked Adobe's support community about my floating toolbar problem in Acrobat Pro, and got a response back that was essentially "Sorry, but that's what it's like now," but that maybe they'll change it in the future. Oh well.

Anyone know how to move the floating Quick Action Toolbar in Adobe Acrobat Pro so that it is embedded at the top like it used to be, rather than "floating" on the left where it can sometimes cover part of a document when zoomed in? I can't find any info online after looking for some time.
