Can I just vent to you guys for a bit?? I feel like I've been needing to vent about this for sometime now.
I've studied biology for 10 + years. Multiple publications, taught 100 + students.
It really IRKS me when someone who dropped out of highschool tells me that I don't know what I'm talking about when it comes to anything biologically related.
Take gender versus sex. These people keep confusing their vocabulary...
an issue easily remedied if they just listened to the people who actually studied biological sex and social norms.
Male/Female are the genetic sex and genetic sex cannot change!
BUT man/woman is a gender which has everything to do with social norms.
Defining "woman" as "an adult human female" is quite literally the social norm, thereby proving the point.
Biology and Social norms are so much more complex than "an adult human female"
I get just as annoyed when it comes to the vaccines. Highschool dropouts think they understand vaccines
...but vaccines and viruses are complicated for even a biologist to wrap their head around.
Yet these dropouts try to tell you that they know better than you. Its truly the bane of my existence.
