We have a client that's friends with my boss and regularly shows up at the last minute to pick up their dog and then asks to squeeze the other dog in and my boss just does it. So now we have to sit here twiddling our thumbs waiting to them to finish chatting so we can cash them out and go home. Why are people like this??

@sarcasmsign Because they've been allowed to get away with it, so they expect to be treated in that way every time. When I worked at a video store, we had a young woman who used to come in just a few minutes before closing time every few weeks and stay 20-30 minutes after we had already locked the doors for the night.
