No problem, there is a ton of good stuff there.
I canceled at the end of last year.
I've been a NYT subscriber since '99 and they have given me no reason whatsoever to cancel. WaPo -- sub there since '15 -- while Murdoch lackey Will Lewis is now calling the shots I'll probs stay with them, too.
Nothing and no one is perfect, but NYT and WaPo remain good, sometimes great "national" newspapers with NO acceptable alternative. Sometimes individual reporters and oped writers get things wrong but on the whole the process remains consistent.
@maybeimaleo @Bix I hear ya. For me that's our local paper (seattle times) + NPR. Neither is perfect, but between them I feel like I have a bead on reality.
@rpardee @Bix Observation: When I went to cancel online before an upcoming price rise, I ended up paying HALF AS MUCH as I'm paying now, before the rise.
That makes it tough to cancel. With all its flaws, I need some relatively firm basis to judge what's going on. Other media is merely supplemental.
