@amarand I believe so. They certainly credit me the $. And since I don't have a battery to soak up anything I don't use, the contractor had to set it up so it doesn't generate if there's a general grid failure. They explained it's a safety thing--if the power co sends out linepeople to fix e.g., a downed line, they need to be able to count on that line not being energized. If residential solar installs are feeding juice even when the grid is out, then they can't do that.
