So Eowyn here spent the night last night as a try-out before we adopt her. Cute as a button, as you can see.

Bit of a rough night though--she did not understand why she couldn't be in the bed & spent a lot of time whining. :(

@rpardee

Once you let her sleep in your bed it’s over. Put her own bed next to yours. She’ll get it after awhile.

@LnzyHou yeah, I'm not sure where my aversion to having the dogs in bed with us comes from, but it's pretty strong.

If we adopt her we will very likely get her a bed. We tried a crate briefly, but the one we could fit in the bedroom was too small for her

@rpardee

Trained my rescue Abby to sleep her own bed. I wrapped her in a doggie blanket which helped.

She frequently slept half in, half out.

@rpardee Aww she's adorable. My puppy climbed up the first night, I moved him back to his bed and cuddled with him for awhile and then took off my tshirt and put it on his bed and he settled right down. He did wake up and whine a bit in the night but I just called him over and gave him some pets and told him to go back to sleep and he did. He's only gotten on the bed once since then, but it was -30C out, I think he just got cold. It probably helps that my other dog's bed is right next to his.
