I don't actually blame McCarthy for agreeing to a one-person-can-toss-me-out deal. That was the best deal he could get & so he took it. The deal was not the problem--the problem is that the GOP has empowered its lunatic fringe (which let's be honest is way more than just the fringe nowadays) to the point that it is basically ungovernable.

No sane person should want that job, and anybody else is going to have the exact problems Kevin did.

(I do of course blame Kevin for sucking up to Trump even after , and for reneging on the spending deal he made w/Dems in the summer. But not for agreeing to the best deal he could get.)

@rpardee It was a problem that he agreed to that, because it allows one person to call out any speaker. He allowed that problem to happen to further his own career, not caring that it would affect more than just him.
