Have any of y'all had a loved one in an assisted living finish getting their COVID vaccinations? I'm trying to figure out what will change when my MIL is done w/hers.

Can we spring her out of there for a dinner say, w/out her having to isolate for 2 weeks after?

I realize we need to get real info from the facility, but they are not easy to get in touch with...

@rpardee Our Governor lays out the protocol for them here based on the # of hospital admission decline in that age group and vaccines given. Check your Governor’s webpage to see if there is guidance laid out there.

@CherNohio Good thinking. Looks like for us in WA, this is the page to look at:

My MIL's facility is still in 'LTC phase 2', and to hear them tell it, her vaccination status will not change visitation. :(

@rpardee I’m glad you were able to get information you were wanting. So sorry to know at this time there will be no change. 😞

@rpardee each facility is different.
friend in one here is allowed out for doc appts. everyone's had both doses so no 14 day quarantine.
they're back to communal dining and rec activities.

@rpardee
My mom is in a facility here, they’ve all had their vaccinations and have once again opened things up to socially distant, masked, outdoor visits. I can’t take her anywhere yet but hopefully things will change soon. They’re following the guidelines from the governor and the state health dept.

@rpardee My cousin is in assisted living. They told me that 2 weeks after her 2nd dose I may take her out & bring her back without quarantining necessary on her return. This is in NJ.
