@rootwoman123 He's presenting this as "I'll protect America from bad guys," but it's simply that there's no room for other bad guys when he wants the job. He doesn't want competition.
People too easily assume that if the other side is the bad guys, that anyone who's fighting with them is good guys, rather than one bully fighting with other bullies over who gets to steal your lunch money.
Also, he's lying about protecting anyone, he just wants power and impunity and likes hurting people.
