IF YOU WANT TO GET RID OF A COLUMN

At the top of the columns you'll see that they have headers -- My friends, Notifications, etc. You'll also notice that the headers each have a little three-stack slider icon on the right.

Click on that. It will expand to give you more options for the column. Toward the bottom of the options you'll see a little x and the word Unpin. Click on that and the column will disappear.

I generally accept all follow requests UNLESS a) you haven't added a bio or custom avi or b) all your posts are designed to stir outrage. Outrage is good sometimes but not as your only emotional food group.
