When a bunch of extremist "protesters" break into and ransack government buildings in Brazil, we don't have trouble recognizing it as an insurrection and a coup attempt.

When it happens in Washington, D.C., all of a sudden the press has some difficulty knowing how to describe it.

Is that supposed to be "American exceptionalism"?
