I did my PhD studying cervical cancer caused by HPV. I have encountered several researches (mostly observational) that indeed detected a link between infections and shaving. We definitely need more research to prove causation but... It's there for a reason. Otherwise we would have lost it during evolution (as we did the rest of our hair/fur (imo!)
@rakshy Oh wow that's awesome. The only reason women started shaving is because razor companies wanted more money. So they shamed women for having body hair by telling them how disgusting they were for being human. Same way they sell most women's products.
