I do not understand the logic behind Gmail Inbox and All Mail. I am reading their explanation online and it is telling me that the Inbox will NOT have emails that are Promotional, social, forum, or chat.

So, messages from Etsy vendor is in the All Mail box but NOT the Inbox.

I guess they think this helps me somehow.

Jury is still out in my case. Any nauts have a POV that might help me see this differently?

@Amyfb I had a very important email sorted to promotional. Even worse - the first email went to inbox, the second to promotional. Same company, same person. Two different job interview invites.
After they I switched off promotional and social media sorting. 😡
