I think the Republican bubble baffles a lot of people who aren't in the middle of it. I'm happy to share what insight I can into why I thought that way, and why my family thinks that way.

It's very much "How did you end up in a cult?" situation. I would love to be able to give a clean "because of THIS" reason, but it isn't so clear cut. 😞 It's very much all about the emotional charges which are often very unreasonable.

It is baffling, in particular because I'm fond of data and accurate and reliable information that can be fact checked. It's a gift to see a worldview I don't understand from someone who has been there. I'm learning new things which is always a good thing.
