@Lindy of course: machine learning (ML) and natural language processing (NLP). I am by no means an expert on either topic, but I work on a project where we're trying to automatically extract info from scientific papers and enter the info into a database, so ML and NLP come in handy for that :)
@Lindy Exactly! For the particular database we are doing this for, there is literally only a handful of people currently doing this task manually, and there are dozens of new articles published every day that they have to go through.
@quietphysicist I know some of that tedium. I worked in a medical school and had to run searches for our preceptors for clinical rotations.
