I wish people would always email instead of calling. Now I have to mentally prepare myself to return the phone call I missed.
I’m just the opposite. Before I retired, I often processed 400-500 emails /day. The last thing I want is someone to email me when a quick phone call would suffice.
The time wasted because I look at emails maybe every 2-3 weeks is unnecessary. Then I have to draft a lucid email response—another waste of time.
Just talk to me.
@LnzyHou I'm lucky in that I don't have that volume of email to deal with. If I did, I would probably prefer quick phone calls too.
@quietphysicist This is such a tightrope walk! I have to keep track of those who seldom-to-never check their email and those who never listen to voicemail and seldom pick up and those who only text. It's exhausting! And I'm just talking about family & friends 🙄
@wolfwoman That does sound pretty frustrating.
@quietphysicist Same. 💛🍀
