Happy ??? Consent decrees in MN because cops are killing too many Black ppl, debates everywhere about public schools teaching anything about slavery, nevermind its legacy and baggage. From when Union soldiers came to TX on June 19, 1865, to free slaves a year and fucking half after Emancipation, we have not progressed enough. Juneteenth is an important holiday, but it is not a happy one.
