Climate is breaking down and the rich countries offer one Elon musks worth of money to pay off the poor countries.
This is why we can’t have nice things. Fuck money, world needs to be on a war type footing, all hands on deck. It is an emergency.
If I remember correctly, human brain cannot imagine things further than 3 months away ( or some stupidly short time period like that)
So, even you tell someone that planet is going to blow up in a year, their brain will simply refuse to accept it.
It might as well be 12 million years from now for all they care.
