In happier news, some close friends have gotten me addicted to watching early 80s The Price Is Right episodes (on Amazon and PlutoTV). Nostalgic consumerism from a more innocent, vibrantly colored time has become my sanity lately. Highly recommended.

I’m sure I’m not the first to say this, but anyone supporting antiquated laws like in AZ shouldn’t receive any medical or scientific benefits that were developed after 1864. Likewise for any SCOTUS justices locked in 1776.

Florida residents: what would happen to the state’s economy if all The Gays either left the state, or if regions with high amounts of gays (FTL, Miami, St. Pete, others) decided to “secede” from the rest of the state? My guess is that the state would tank, especially without the migrant agriculture workers as well. I just find the discrimination against a non-trivial demographic to be bizarre.

So, I’m not clear: are the new statements from the FBI and Dept. of Energy saying covid came from a Chinese lab saying that the virus was naturally occurring and escaped the lab, or was originated in the lab and somehow got out?

The media reports I’ve seen don’t clarify those points. I’ve read early reports from virologists that said it didn’t look to be manufactured or manipulated. Saying it came from a lab is too broad of a statement.
