My friends, “coon(s)” is actually an extremely derogatory slur still in common use in the Deep South.
Obviously, y’all wouldn’t use this word if you knew. I share because CoSo is a safe place. I will make a mistake at some point and I hope y’all feel free to let me know.
Last week, 16 advised me I was using heteronormative language, again. 🤷🏻♀️ Life is my learning journey.

Knowing you were using a racial slur, and using it anyway is not okay with me. I don’t care what the context is.
It is not about me. It is about a population still being slain, arrested, beaten, and marginalized.
This is actually about you, thinking it is okay.
@CajunBlueAZ1 it is a word. i used it as a familiar of raccoons which is also common parlance.
