Wondering if future versions of cell phones will eliminate voice transmission altogether? If all we ever do is text, what is the point of actual conversations?

If we didn't have voice transmission yet, it would be such an upgrade from having to type everything out.
People just don’t get it. Using technology, we are becoming more and more isolated from human interaction.
I live in a tourist town (Asheville) and see tourists sitting together on benches and outside restaurants not talking to each other. Just texting away on their phones.
They could have saved themselves the $$$/time and stayed home to text.

@LnzyHou ~ I like the camera feature because I can share beautiful landscapes and silly signs with my friends/family. But I don't have social media on my phone specifically because I want to focus on whatever the immediate experience is.

Unimaginable.
I force myself to leave my phone at home doing errands. It helps me stay in the Now which is where I find Life.
Driving is fun. Sniffing mangoes 🥭 is fun. Seeing Bradford pear trees in bloom is fun.
I won’t perish if my phone is not on me.
