Vandals break window of a vehicle. Owner runs out, chases vandals, and kills one of them. This was a chase in vehicles and there was gunfire.
Obviously I'm no fan of vandalism, but it shouldn't result in an instant death penalty after a chase that put the lives of innocents at risk.
The shooter needs to face charges. He was not "defending his castle" - this was a vengeance killing.
