@singlemaltgirl Sure, I'm glad you asked. Two reasons.
1) My clients with famous Internet-only camera systems experience skips in recorded activity because of network congestion and/or ISP service problems.
2) If a criminal cuts the cable going into the building, the cameras see everything, but there's no record of it.
