When was America great? Just asking because I'm trying to figure out what they want to go back to 🤔Having a very hard time identifying a period of "greatness." I don't want to make America anything again, I just want us to move forward and get rid of backward thinking. We are so much better than this, I am truly ashamed.

I just tried to pick a time when there wasn't too much bad news coming out of the USA and Jimmy Carter was President too, which was pretty great. The time of day was just me being silly 😜
@nursefrombirth You want their definition of great? They want to go back to the time before women and minorities (aka black and blown people) started demanding to be treated like human beings with equal rights.
I don’t think they can function very well in a society where they don’t have an advantage over everyone else.
That's exactly what I think I means.
@nursefrombirth Post WW2 era Europe is in rebuild needed stuff...If you were white you did alright...houses got electricity, indoor plumbing, hot water, telephones to farmers in the farm bills, tva, when politicians wanted to help the people America was great you know before they cared about the cost of the project.
Is that the bar for greatness? Benefiting some and not others 🤔America will be great, when we are all treated equal. So far, that hasn't happened IMHO.
@nursefrombirth That's the greatness from the maga side when the public community pool was whites only, and when that was forced to change they chose to destroy the community pool than allow non white access.
@nursefrombirth I agree with almost all of this. 'We are so much better than this' I'm not so sure about. The evidence suggests otherwise until enough Americans lay those ghosts to rest.
