More than 70 children sickened in Ohio measles outbreak

69 out of 74 hadn't received any doses of the MMR vaccine, according to Columbus Public Health. Four had received one dose of the vaccine (of the two recommended doses) "some cases may not have been eligible yet for the second dose due to age," the health department noted. The remaining child's vaccination status is unknown.

@nursefrombirth This is insane. When I was a kid, measles and mumps were a regular thing. Then vaccinations started happening and it was rare until the anti vaccination movement of the 90s. No one should be hospitalized from diseases like measles. We are devolving.

@Pinky_Slivovitz Yes. We haven't had measles since 1999 or 2000. It's crazy. Even polio is making a comeback. We SUCK!!!😢
