@nursefrombirth I don’t believe this figure to be accurate. Mine was diagnosed as “severe depression,” but I suspect they’re the same condition under different nomenclature. Many people with ASD and other neuropsychiatric disorders have undiagnosed severe /major depression because of years of coping with its comorbidities. (Moral: Many people have hidden reasons for not functioning “normally.” Think B4 you judge; better yet, don’t judge at all.)

@caaddison88 I believe these are accurate pre-pandemic stats. I think it's over 25% now. I'll look a bit further into this and let you know if i find anything different. Only what is reported is measured and as you suggested, many people with major depressive disorder are not diagnosed therefore I think the prevalance is much higher.
