I don't get why people that are fostering kittens or shelters that have kittens are not returning phone calls or turn me down because I don't want to adopt 2 kittens, I only want to adopt one kitten. They wine and complain that no one wants to adopt when a perfectly good person with excellent Vet references comes along, only to be turned down because I have to take 2 kittens. Pisses me off 🤷

@MrsSpear Adopt an adolescent or young adult cat, instead. Kittens are best in pairs. They keep each other amused, and out of a lot of trouble they'd otherwise get into. I have a trio of 2-year old brothers adopted as kittens - they're still best friends.
