My daughter noticed me frowning this morning and asked if I was ok, so I told her I was mulling over a drive tomorrow to Stanford for a twin research study.
She asked me if it was going to be snowing again tomorrow; it's not, and the weather should be reasonable. It's just a long drive.
Then she kind of tilted her head to one side and bluntly asked me if I was physically and emotionally up for 6 hours of driving.
That level of insight stunned me.
