OK, I try to avoid threads about writing or very specific Greco-Roman mythology, however...
Beside a wee tiny bit huge amount of cannabilistic sacrifice (pre-Hellenic period), the worship of Zeus was *reasonably* benign.
I can explain alllllll the history if this, but would prefer not to do with character limits.
