Okay, #CosoConfessions time:
While it's no #RickAndMorty (what is?), I am absolutely enjoying THE HELL out of #HarleyQuinn
Go ahead: get all your yuks out now; "Ha ha, some old dust-farter likes that cartoon!"
Too old to GAF, so...do your worst.
Well, at the risk of spoilers...
It rewrites a lot of the Gotham Canon (which I confess I'm not super familiar with anyway), and both humanizes her while showing how off-the-chain crazy she can be.
Lemme just say this:
While I know virtually nothing about Kelly Cuoco (sp?), Lake Bell, Alan Tudyk, Tony Hale et al are amazing VAs...and wow, does Bell shine as Poison Ivy: she is AMAZING as a misanthropic, social-anxiety-ridden genius, among other things.
the coffee shop thing *slayed me* π
No offense but I'm ignoring these quotes. Spoilers. π
No worries. Y'all were enjoying yourselves. π
For real though, there's some real comedy gems in #HarleyQuinn
I'm...not going into detail on some stuff because...spoilers, but still. Would 100% recommend watching, especially through S3. It just keeps getting better, trust me.
I had to rewatch it to catch some of the jokes, as some are kinda fast (and/or I'm just slowing down in my old age, whatever); still 10/10 from me.
IIRC it's got some crazy high rating on RT as well (who aren't as reliable as they used to be).
FTR, I feel like there are some jokes only some ciswomen or gay men will get in this cartoon π
I watched the first half of season 1 the other day. Really enjoyed it. Thanks for putting it back on my radar. π
I certainly recognized Giancarlo Esposito's voice!
Kelly Cuoco does a fabulous job as HQ (including her other personalities). Totally worth the watch. Trust me.
Bane is like...Milton from Office Space (lol). Just less fire, more explosions π€£
Ivy/Isley: "I identify more as an ecoterrorist more than a super villian." π€£
@netspionage @JCole
and I think what they do with Bane is absolutely hilarious
