This happened a long time ago. I don’t know whether to be pleased that the pastors might finally be catching on or infuriated over the decades that they spent enabling/encouraging that point of view.
Several years ago I read a study suggesting that evangelical sermons use texts from Paul and the Old Testament far more often than the Gospels, which tracks.
