I've come to the conclusion he is making the choices he's made because:
1. He's as sharp as a mashed potato.
2. Revenge via decisions he knows will stir chaos. He thrives on chaos.
3. Putin has a folder on him and has shown it to him in a private meeting.
4. He's as spinless as a jellyfish swimming in a cesspool of barracudas who will use him for their own benefit.
5. He just wants to be an actor. He sees the office as the greatest stage on earth.
