My daughter organizes an honor race each year for a Lieutenant Colonel in the Air National Guard and friend killed in a plane crash three years ago. Proceeds go to two charities in her honor.

The is an all-day 8 hour walk/run with as many miles as one can do during the eight hours one can participate. A fun way for walkers and runners to just have a good time, earn medals and prizes and support a wonderful cause.

Yesterday, she texted me this:
1/2

2/2

"A mother just texted me telling me her autistic son is coming to walk in the race tomorrow. She had some questions about the rain and if there was a covered area etc.
She said he might need help putting his race bib/number on and asked if someone could help him ❤️

And then she proceeded to tell me that he is SOOOO excited and he walked 27.2 miles last week because he said he needed to build up his stamina for the 8 hours tomorrow. ❤️"

It's pretty dusty in here.....
