I do the same every chance I get, with worms that get stranded in the street, or with snails,slugs, spiders or other insects (last was a praying mantis!!) that are stuck where they're in danger of being killed by either mean humans or the thoughtless ones who just don't look where they are going, or where they put their feet... I move the littles over to a safe place.
