I do have little garter snakes here every so often. I adore making a teeny tiny ecosystem in the middle of this unholy suburb for all the small creatures. IDT that my neighbors appreciate what I do so much - at least most of them - as I leave things a bit on the wildish side.

I do get a nice comment now and then from dog walking neighbors who can appreciate what I do. ( IE it's not a total mess, it's just not HOUSE BEAUTIFUL).
